January 19, 1778 Dear Ma and Pa We be hither at vale Forge and it is very cold. Luckily, I still hold back to pass boots at you and pa got me. They do not dupe that if we do not fight the British, the fuss will never stop. instantly I was chosen to be in a squad that was going to attack on the British soldiers.
